When I was asked to speak at CEDIA recently, I took the opportunity to revisit recent changes in the residential market. It’s amazing to me how rapidly things have changed, it’s a whole new world out there. From an AV perspective, we are doing things remotely we never imagined – going to school, having multiple family members working remotely, hosting gatherings and celebrations on our laptops, and even attending worship services. In fact, I titled my presentation “Keeping Order in Chaos” because, for many, it has been – and may still be – a chaotic season.
For many, AV connectivity within the home has been a real challenge. Integrators focused on the residential space are seeking new, innovative solutions. There are various ways to address residential issues. Because my presentation was through our partnership with HDBaseT, I focused specifically on the ways that technology delivers performance and connectivity within the home.
